Can a crock pot be used for melting caramel for caramel apples? - crock pot clam chowder recipe

The professional team of Candy Apples Waay too expensive ($ 250 +) and I have this pot pots for $ 4 each at Target. If a slow cooker can not be used, you have other suggestions for the team?

As a "brutal," he said. You can Slow Cooker, but you must use the low setting and carefully observed. also placed very small in a large pot with water pan, it is sufficient that they do not want to spend money in a water bath-Marie.

You do not have anything terribly expensive. A low-cost water can not burn this task very well without the ability to get the caramel too.

Revised November 11, 2003 GABRIELLESMOM as quickly and easily. I bought candy in bulk and pack only about 2 cups of them, add 2 tablespoons. Milk and microwave, then 50% to about 2.5 minutes. Let the candy sit for a few minutes before dipping apples. Tip: Ask the list of apples in the freezer before dipping in Caramel.
